Adobe Commerce Headles implementation
Youwe has been PostNL's technical partner for many years. We created a new headless platform based on Adobe Commerce (Magento). This allowed PostNL to centralize multiple ordering channels and manage the technical infrastructure in one central location. Integrations with SAP made it possible to manage orders efficiently. This made the platform more flexible and significantly reduced IT costs.
With 66,000 employees and international operations in five European countries, PostNL is not only the national postal service, but also a leading player in B2C and B2B parcel delivery and fulfillment. They currently operate a multichannel business model and are broadly active in e-commerce, focusing not only on parcels. To offset the decline in physical mail, PostNL is expanding its digital services to include the sale of stamps, gifts and office supplies, among others.
PostNL manages multiple web shops for both business customers and consumers. The implementation of a headless Adobe Commerce platform, coupled with real-time integration to the SAP S/4HANA ERP system, optimally supports their multichannel structure. With the ambition to take their e-commerce operations to the next level, PostNL decided to develop a platform that serves both business and consumer markets, handling more than 250,000 transactions and over a million visitors annually. All this in one user-friendly and efficient website environment, which is also hosted by Youwe.

SAP Connector
At Youwe, we set up PostNL's webshop to offer a wide range of physical products and services, fully integrated with an order management application for seamless processing from four warehouse locations. Thanks to our real-time connector integration with SAP S/4HANA, all processes can be continuously monitored so that everything runs smoothly. We also linked the solution to various transaction platforms, from web shops and apps to physical touchpoints, to optimally support PostNL in their multichannel approach.
Managed Hosting
For PostNL, we set up a specially managed cluster hosting environment tailored to the high demands of their web shop. At Youwe, we provide complete hosting of the Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform, with an emphasis on stability and nearly 100% uptime, 24x7. To handle spikes in traffic smoothly and ensure a stable experience, we have set up a fully automated system that is continuously monitored.
When problems occur, we immediately switch to backup servers within the cluster, so customers are not affected. Thanks to our 24x7 support and automated failover processes, PostNL can rely on a robust, reliable hosting environment that effortlessly holds up even during peak periods.
