Rich, eye-catching content, and one single Adobe Commerce instance to power all the different countries’ webshops
Our solution
We started with an extensive workshop program, identifying the priority countries and orchestrating 18 international workshops. In these sessions, we covered everything from strategic objectives to UX and user flows.
As the co-operation started during Covid restrictions, we had to run the workshops remotely, dealing with widely dispersed teams across multiple countries, cultures and time zones. It was a new way of working for everyone, and an exciting start. At Youwe, we operate using a fully agile framework, so the workshops ran smoothly and without surprises.
After careful consideration, we proceeded by building one single Adobe Commerce instance to power all the different countries’ websites. This makes it easy to deploy changes from the base instance, keeping the time to market short. So, when changes were made for one webshop we could easily copy and use them for all other shops as well. With the requirement for a complex global platform, we needed to allow for country specific changes, product reviews and an assortment of amends and differences. Our development began with a country-by-country rollout, starting with shops for the UK and US, then focusing on France, Germany, Spain and the Nordics. We focused mainly at Consumers with the D2C approach around Home, but prepared the instance to be B2B ready for certain diffuse professional opportunities, like spare parts sales.
Establishing the first global program, on Adobe Commerce, supported by a high level of integration, governance and guidance was relatively new for Schneider Electric. Traditionally, the business sold most products through an omni-channel strategy via their traditional channel partners. Now, accelerating online brand presence, with its own branded webshop, offering a multi-channel approach for certain end users.
Positioning and promoting Schneider Electric’s smart home range, Wiser, was also a key project priority. Wiser offers a wide range of smart home solutions to maximize comfort and safety at home, while optimizing home energy consumption.
Our new Adobe eCommerce solution provided a storytelling platform for Wiser. Our design team stepped in to undertake extensive user research and testing, ensuring a fitting environment to show off the brand benefits.
