Pimcore recognized in Gartner Magic Quadrant for PXM 2025

Youwe is excited to announce that our partner Pimcore, with whom we have delivered countless sucessful projects in the area of PIM, DAM, MDM and more, has joined the Gartner Magic Quadrant for PXM 2025.

“This isn’t just another accolade. It’s a defining moment for everyone who’s been with us since day one – the believers, the risk-takers, the disruptors,” said Dietmar Rietsch, CEO and Founder of Pimcore, in a post on social platform LinkedIn.

For 15 years, Pimcore has been reshaping how data and experience work together. “And now, the world is paying attention,” Rietsch continued. This recognition validates Pimcore’s commitment to an open, flexible, and unified platform that integrates Product Information Management (PIM), Digital Asset Management (DAM), and Product Experience Management (PXM) seamlessly. PIM and PXM: The Next Evolution in Digital Commerce

“We didn’t get here by playing it safe. We got here by challenging the norm and refusing to compromise on our vision: unifying data and experience management,” Rietsch emphasized in his post. PIM ensures structured, accurate product data, while PXM goes further, using AI to personalize and optimize product experiences.

Pimcore has positioned itself as a leader in this shift, offering a unified platform that blends PIM, DAM, and Product Data Syndication (PDS) for enriched, seamless product experiences.

AI-Powered PIM: Automating Data for Accuracy and Scale

Gartner forecasts that by 2026, AI-driven PIM adoption will exceed 50%, helping companies improve data quality, automate categorization, and scale content creation.

Pimcore’s AI-driven capabilities leverage OpenAI and machine learning for automated data classification, text generation, and translation, simplifying onboarding and reducing human error.

“PIM solutions now integrate OpenAI prompts to generate and classify content automatically,” Gartner notes. With Pimcore Copilot, companies can generate descriptions, extract key attributes, and refine digital content for streamlined distribution across multiple channels.

PIM isn’t just for B2C anymore. As B2B commerce becomes increasingly digital, businesses require solutions that can manage vast product hierarchies, bulk data, and supplier relationships.

Gartner highlights that PIM solutions are evolving to meet B2B demands, ensuring seamless integration with supply chains and third-party marketplaces. Pimcore’s modular, open-source architecture allows businesses to centralize supplier data, standardize product specs, and enhance product discovery while integrating effortlessly with ERP, MDM, and e-commerce platforms.

Future-Proofing with Digital Shelf Analytics & Compliance

PIM’s role is growing beyond data management to include Digital Shelf Analytics (DSA), compliance, and sustainability tracking. Gartner projects that by 2027, 80% of PXM vendors will offer multiple PXM capabilities, such as digital shelf insights and content optimization.

Gartner recognizes that a a plethora of regulations will drive companies' need to implement a PIM, including the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the EU Green Claims Directive (GCD) and the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), which includes the upcoming Digital Product Passport. PIM provides capabilities to support businesses to be compliant.

"The demand for sustainable information reflects a broader shift toward more conscious consumption patterns from consumers, and this is driving the need to store this information within a PIM. Trust is frequently eroded when there is a disconnect between what an organization claims and what it actually does," states the Gartner Report on PIM solutions 2025.

Looking Ahead: Innovation & Disruption

“This win isn’t just ours – it belongs to everyone who believed in us. To our partners, customers, and community members who challenged the status quo, you made this happen,” Rietsch shared.

PIM is moving toward AI-powered automation and enhanced B2B functionality, and Pimcore is at the forefront of this transformation.

“But let’s be real: this is just the beginning. We’re here to disrupt. To innovate. To redefine what’s possible in digital experience. And we’re not stopping,” Rietsch concluded.

Gartner confirms it: the future of digital commerce lies in the integration of AI, PIM, and PXM – and Pimcore is leading the charge.
