They approached Youwe requesting a 360 review of their existing webshop to assess the customer experience, alongside platform health, and to develop a structured roadmap that would work in collaboration with in-house development resources.
There were several key objectives to the project, including:
Refreshing the brand to introduce a modern touch, whilst maintaining the original grunge feel that customers are familiar with
To acquire customers that are new to CBD, who they can educate, inform and reassure with blog posts, product FAQs, a dosage calculator and reviews
Through a combination of improved performance and SEO enhancements, achieve greater search engine rankings to improve organic traffic and conversions
Our solution
During our pre-engagement stage with ICE Headshop, we identified that the investment into rescuing the existing platform did not represent the best use of budget. The feeling was that the total cost of improving the sites performance and delivering a re-theme would likely be equal or greater than the cost of replacing the website with a new instance. This led us to recommend a complete rebuild with a modern Hyvä frontend, with the additional benefit of eliminating all outstanding issues with the existing platform.
The results
Youwe launched ICE Headshop in February 2023, boasting cutting edge performance enhancements, a new frontend, including a blend of the original & modern aesthetic, implemented to best practice to decrease maintenance overheads. This has given ICE Headshop a sound foundation to scale for their next phase of business growth.
